Black Ink Crew: Chicago Castmembers Gets Sued

Four of the cast members of Black Ink Crew: Chicago is being sued by a man name Ronnie Spates. Ronnie is filing a lawsuit against cast members Ryan Henry, Van Johnson, Don Brumfield, and Junior Diaz. claiming that he suffered alleged injuries at a party back in December.

From ChicagoTrune

Spates said he “suffered serious physical injuries” that required medical attention after Henry, Johnson, Brumfield and Diaz attacked him without provocation, according to the lawsuit. He said Big Fish representatives “provided large quantities of alcoholic beverages” at the party, and security personnel provided by the production company “failed to prevent the attacks.”

Spates is seeking more than $50,000, plus lawsuit costs, from each of the cast members and Big Fish. Spates’ attorney and VH1 representatives did not immediately respond to a Tribune request for comment. VH1 is not named in the lawsuit. Footage of the incident appears to have aired as part of a Feb. 13 episode.
