June 2020 Favorites

This months has been really boring when it comes to makeup and my skin was acting up so I got back to some of the basics that I know work for me. I feel like these favorites are just going to become increasingly more boring and short, because I don't really have time to experiment as much with my makeup as I used to.

I have been dealing with really bad skin in general and my face was breaking out this month like crazy. I don't even know why, but it meant my skin care was geared towards healing them up. So I used a lot of this snail essence by COSRX which always promoted healing on my skin and in general feels nicely nourishing, but still light. I think it did well with my blemishes.

I also wanted to apply higher coverage foundation, because as I mentioned, my skin was just not having it this month. When I want something higher coverage, I always go for Revlon Colorstay foundation. I thin it out and mix it with Missha Perfect Cover B.B. cream which gives it a bit more natural finish to the skin. But this one stays on so well and covers good too.

The weather here finally got summer looking and that means my makeup is getting oilier through the day and breaking down faster. I love using this mist by Avon. It prolongs the wear of my makeup and doesn't tightens my face too bad, so it doesn't feel heavy.

This is still my favorite bronzer that I use everyday. I've gotten so lazy with my makeup routine that I don't even wear eyeshadows sometimes and I just apply this bronzer all over the lid. It actually ties in the whole look of the face really well. I like that it is pigmented, but blends with ease and the yellow undertone to it matches well with my skin tone. Bronzer is one of those makeup products I can't live without, because it gives color and dimension to my pale face, especially in the summer.

I would have never thought that this mascara would become so dear to me. It's actually brown black color, which makes me like it even more, because it's not as harsh as black, and it gives such a nice volume. But the best part, it doesn't clump lashes up. This is probably due to the drier formula which separates lashes well, but I need to apply at least two coats to get the full volumuzing effects that I like. But man, is it good. I am already considering repurchasing it in the future.

This is one of the best lip formulas, if you are like me, suffering from dry lips. It's sort of like a pigmented liquid lipstick with a very comforting balmy like feel to it. It's so soothing, but gives you the color. Date Night is sort of a slightly darker mauve shade with brownish undertone, so it makes for one of those nudes that will suit many skin tones.

Avon Iris Fetiche Eau de Parfum

Another great perfume by Avon that has quickly become my favorite. It has all the rights basics for me - sandalwood, amber and vanilla. But it starts with a sort of fresh and spicy note of pepper which really kicks this scent up. It dries down to a creamy powdery sweet woody note. It is nothing like the name would suggest - iris or floral. I really like it and haven't been able to put it down ever since I got it. It's such a chic fragrance.
