Shortly before Sean Combs went from Puff Daddy to being called Diddy, he and Nas shot the controversial Hate Me Now video. A story has come from that video shooting, where it was reported that Diddy screamed for his life when a baby tiger lunged at him. lol!
Music video producer, Ian Gelfand told the story recently on Cipha Sound's Take It Personal... "He has his champagne and he does this move and one of the tigers turns around. Baby tiger, but still, turns around and like that [makes lunging motion] and Diddy goes AHHH! Up the walls." (Cipha Sounds)
During the the interview, Gelfand said he still has the footage to prove this in his possession to this day. He said he was offered $50,000 for the video, but was scared of what Diddy would do to him, after seeing what Puff did to Steve Stoute. For those that don't know, the video to the song has two versions; there is one that has just the party scenes, and there is the other one that has the party scenes, and also scenes of Nas being crucified like Jesus, and Diddy by his side (also crucified...like one of the thieves on either of Jesus's sides during his crucifixion). Diddy did it willingly, but after talking to his priest about it, he had a change of heart, and told Steve Stoute (Nas's Manager at the time) to take it out. But, the wrong version was sent to MTV and TRL. The same afternoon the video aired, Puff barged into Stoute's office with his body guards, and during a fit of rage, hit Steve on the head with a champagne bottle.
